Dr. Appointment, HA!

Why do doctors set up appointments for you when you don't get out of the "waiting" room until an hour after your appointment has come and gone? That makes no sense to me. I understand that they are trying to squeeze in as many appointments as they can - that's how they make money. But when you are sick like I was Monday, you do not feel like sitting in a stupid waiting room because the doctors can't manage their time and appointments better.
