a lot...

First of all, we worked out on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. I don't remember exactly what I did on Tuesday, but I'm sure I walked 3 laps and did a "fit test" on level 2 on a bike. Wednesday, I walked 3 laps (one while carrying 2 pound weights in each hand), did 55 crunches, biked for 5 miles at level 2.

Secondly, we spent last weekend with my parents. We had fun. They gave us a cruise early as my graduation gift but I can't take it until after I have finished my classes. I was sooo excited and surprised. I was not expecting a cruise at all even though my parents know that I have wanted to go on a cruise for about 10 years now. What I can't understand is why I can't take it over Christmas break. I only have 9 classes left, why wouldn't I finish just because I got a gift early? I don't understand their thinking. During Christmas would be a perfect time because I would not have to worry about a new job and not getting the time off for the cruise.

Thirdly, I've got some major projects due in the next four weeks. An individual project about a company and one of its managers (Tuesday afternoon class), two powerpoint presentations (Tuesday night class), book report (Monday night class), group project about a company's corporate culture (Wednesday night class), and a take home exam (Thursday night class). Luckily, I do not have a final in my Tuesday night class, my Thursday final is a take home, and if I am happy with my grade (my Monday class) I do not have to take that final.

I interviewed my manager today for my Tuesday afternoon project. He is my boss. He sounded as though there might be a position in the future for me in the Human Resources Department that the company is thinking about starting. Of course, that will go with their schedule and who knows when that will come to fruition.

I got an email from one of my professors this afternoon about an Administrative Assistant position that is available in my town. She wanted to know if I was interested as the owner has only asked one of the Deans at my college about Senior Office Management majors who might be interested in the position. I contacted the Dean to get more information and he gave me the contact information for the owner. I emailed the gentleman and sent him a copy of my resume along with a cover letter letting him know that I would be interested in an interview.

This would be a perfect job for me for after I graduate. This position is for a full or part time position. It sounded like it might be available as a full-time position after the student graduated. This might be just what I am looking for.

Fourth, we will be going to the last home football game tomorrow afternoon for my college. And Sunday, we will be taking my newphew, Kobe, to the Chattanooga Aquarium. This will be a lot of fun. It's going to be hard to get him to leave the fish on Sunday, but he will enjoy it so much. I can't wait. We're going to take pictures and video while we are there.

I'm thinking about joining Weight Watchers in the next few days so I can lose weight and be able to keep it off after I have lost the weight. I don't like the programs where you have to eat their food - it doesn't teach you how to make the right choices once you start eating real food. I haven't made my decision yet, but the more I think about it, the more it seems like the right choice for me.
